    Big Girl, You Are Beautiful!
    Thursday, September 27 / 10:38
There's two sides two a chilly and cosy weather in the morning. You can cuddle up in bed and really enjoy the sleep. Or, it causes you to sleep like a log and be fashionably late for work. This morning, it was both for me. I love waking up in the morning being greeted by the pattering of raindrops on my window pane. Syiok!

Sometimes I'm thankful for this petite body of mine. If I had longer legs, my paces would have been faster and my chances of getting knocked down would be higher yesterday. At that moment, I wished stones would appear in my hands as I'd like to throw it at the car. It was ruthless of him to miss the red light. Clearly red acts as a warning colour and easily visible to the eyes. But to mofos like him, it was just a passing colour. No worries, I got down his plate no and I'm counting on a friend to take necessary action. I want him down! Can you feel the burning rage in me? I felt that no innocent being deserve to be knocked down due to his carelessness. 2 years back, a similar incident took place as well. This time around, it was at a zebra crossing. What in the world was the driver thinking? He hit on the brakes and managed to stop 30cm before me. I fell to the ground as I couldn't control the shock in my knees. The irony was that I was in a an orange T-shirt. Very KNN, right?

    Moving on;

After yesterday, I'm having doubts about you. Dear readers, Dayana here is very good at giving advice and opinions to those in need. However, she can't apply her own advice to herself. That leaves her scratching her head and/or even avoiding matters that mean to her the most. Many times she didn't communicate what's in her mind and heart, with an excuse she's afraid(hey, there's a pussy in all of us) and don't know how to go about doing it. Many would have want to slap her right about now and say, "She talk very well, what now cannot talk?". As much as she's always liberated to say the most random and irrelevant things, she feels compelled to convey other more important issues. Knowing this, she'll just stop at this last sentence.

I'm Craving for Prima Deli's Waffles
    Tuesday, September 25 / 09:57
As it gets colder, it gets more excrutiating that it's draining me already. I never thought something like this would befall me. Your presence for a day seems like a week to me, and I feel suffocated. Right from the start I knew it wasn't going to be easy. I'm rather vexed why others have led you to me, and I wish you could just stop and go away. Just disappear. But I forsee more of you, I forsee my limbs getting numb and my eyes getting all teary. I'm piled with data entry work la. So drama, I know.

    A typical day at work;

    "I want to apply for..."
    - "Yes, applying what?"
"Don't know la, the EZlink thing."
    - "No you don't apply EZlink here."
"I don't know, my friend say government giving money."

As much as we Singaporeans love anything and everything FOC, I find the need we have to be a little educated on the issues affecting us. More importantly, be aware of what it is first.

    The Skinny on Dietary Fat
    Sunday, September 23 / 12:19
Sometimes it seems as though dietary fat is the most important thing in everyone's lives. News-papers and magazines are filled with articles about the dangers of eating too many high-fat foods. Well I think fats contribute to 15% of making us happy people. Imagine a world without fats, no smooth cream cakes, no caramel drizzel on my machiatto, no Mars bars and chicken wings wouldn't taste as good if it's not fried. All hail to fats! They are what makes food taste so good, and coz of them humans don't mind spending a bomb just for good food. And fatty food goes really well with good company(they need to be fat lovers as well). New York cheese cake and caramel drinks after 11pm; that equals to more fats. So it's time you have a get fat day. :)

    To Althea, Seri and Vina:
Enjoy your stay and curry like never before.

On Tueday, Burger King was extra filling with fantastic company, witty sarcasm and extra loud laughters. Basically it was hard enjoying our meals in peace, but it was all good. The craving for golden fries dipped in chilli sauce and mayonaise was met. It was like to die for, since I didn't touch any fastfood ever since Ramadhan started. Yes, I missed my get fat days. Aside the jolly moments, there were tears and warm embraces as well. Brief goodbyes and well wishes were exchanged to those off to land of mighty curry and naans. Enna ma, y'all are still close at heart. :)

I'm loving my Saturday nights very much. It's so depressing that my Friday nights are spent at work, like I can't even scream it's TGIF! Dinner with the laughing baskets is the like the closure of our dreadful week at work. Kinda like the sweet icing on top of a burnt cake, ha! It's very much a girl thing. Girls will always be girls; bitch-talk, camwhoring and constant visits to toilets just to check out the hair. It's almost close to a love affair, this thing girls have which boys won't even try to understand. Like how Shima's missing me already only after 2 days apart, so ironic.

    I think I'm jinxed.

And yesterday's night Dates Milkshake with Honey; Mosi Cafe. For those with the sweet tooth, you'll like this blended thing. It's been so long since I met them, and I missed them terribly. Pandora and Machiatto. Roaming around Haji Lane was eery, apparently we bumped into a few bapoks(means gay; very soft men). I was abit intimidated by them, they looked much more demure than me. From the way the sit and fold their arms to the way they laugh, oh no giggle to be exact.

Nuff' said. LO visited yesterday, so far so good. Mr. Soh(a really nice old man who takes care of me) mentioned that he never grade his interns any lower than 80%, unless their performance is real bad. That's something good to hear, but I do want to earn my grades. Not just because he's a really nice man. And then me being thick skin prompted him of the good things he mentioned about me. So he replied, "You can speak Chinese! You handled those old people especially Chinese very well." But really, I sometimes very yaya-papaya, tried my best to speak Mandarin when they prefer conversing in dialect.

Sometimes, occasional solitude is what every one needs. I've said this many many times, feelings happen and we do not always know why. I have nights where I would fall asleep, only in hopes of dreaming that everything would be like before. But on a night like this, the dreams slowly disappear as reality crashes on to the floor. It's so easy to see the dysfunction between you and me. Still, thoughts of you are tattooed on my mind and I'm thinking of you at a rate that's truly alarming.

I'll build a wall around my heart and never let it fall apart.
But strangely, I secretly wish it would fall down while I'm asleep.

    It's Almost Up And Away
    Monday, September 17 / 02:43
Believe it or not, I slept for a whooping 15 solid hours today. The moment I finally got my fatty ass up, I felt tipsy. The mega sleep led me feeling that way. What a pig, I know. I was tired but it's not as is if I was slaving the whole day. It's just me I guess, sleep is good.

    Also,

I'm loving Lily Allen more, even if she was expelled from school a couple of times. Apparently, she was once caught red-handed doing a blow job, serious! (Click here) On top of that, take a listen to her cover of The Kook's 'Naive' and Keane's 'Everybody's Changing'.

    I lost my password.
Hmm, the things I do for you.

    Well Somebody Told Me
    Saturday, September 15 / 15:43
    I smell Flowers, Brandon Flowers.
    The Killers!

Anyways, I've been reading quite a bit these days. Currently, Debbie Macomber's The Shop On Blossom Street(last chapter Seri, thank you). I'm planning to read more, maybe mostly books on female empowerment, life stories and whatnots. I know it sounds ultra depressing and it's making me look like a total feminist, anti-boys with ding-dong kinda thing. Contrary to that I'm pro-boys! Three cheers for the creation of beings with inferior intelligence and lesser maturity. C'mon ladies, no matter how strong you are you'll still need a man's shoulder(it has to be big enough, I know) for you to lean on. Yup, I'm so not a feminist. Enough with the incessant whinning, meeting my laughing baskets later.

    Hello Ramadhan
    Thursday, September 13 / 09:51
I went to the toilet 3 times already; the stomach's having internal experiments.
Saturday was ayam penyet and Starbucks.
    Sunday was Mcdonalds and Starbucks.
Monday was CCB(cheap chocolate buns, what were you thinking?)and hotdogs.
Tuesday was fried wings and Maltesers.
Wednesday was Maltesers, Swensens spag and Anderson's icecream.
    And can you smell fatness?

I can also smell Britney's comeback! Gimme More is getting airplay, even when her album's not out yet. Her performance at the recent VMA was said to be disastrous, but my instinct says that we can expect the old Britney back. Cut her some slack, she needs time too.

Now that Ramadhan's here, such luxurious and sinful indulgences can only be savoured after the sun sets. Which means to say they'll turn into fats faster, darn.

Talking about food, it's very hard to find affordable and tasty halal food here in Singapore. Sometimes I wish Singapore is Malaysia. But then again, no! I'm always venturing for new eating places when I'm out with the friends. With them, I've discovered places like Madjack, House of Ayam Penyet and Padi & Nooch(just to name a few). And I'll never stop this quest of mine, food hunting! Thanks to Kopiteh, I learnt more new eating hideouts, yay! Calling all friends, let's go go go! Ok I don't want to carry on, it's kinda depressing talking about food now.

If you thought she cut her hair super short because she wanted to start a new trend, guess again. Victoria Beckham recently confessed she had her hair cut up to her chin because her extensions kept falling out during sex.(Read more)

TO ASSUME = TO MAKE AN ASS OUT OF U AND ME.

    Viva La Radio
    Thursday, September 6 / 15:12
The sudden urge to blog. Why? Coz the radio is playing Better Man by Robbie William, but. In chinese version sang by a female. And after singing the chorus in chinese, she ends it "To be a better man." No kidding and no offence.

Moving on, sometimes this "I-listen-to-non-mainstream-music" vibe is really too much. I'm starting on this a bit, so bear with me.

Firstly, I feel the reason why pop exist is because there are people out there who can't fit into the other non-mainstream areas like rock, jazz, soul etc. And some of you might say mainstream singers sell themselves more than they sell their music like they don't write/compose their own songs. But wait, do you have to be a songwriter/composer to be a singer or vice versa? Simple enough, popularity causes them to be mainstream. However this may come from two sources; either through true talent or other factors like sex appeal.

Secondly, there are people who think that whoever listens to mainstream music are shallow and even posers. They only listen to it coz other people are doing the same, sort of a popularity thing and they want to be 'in' and not backdated. I think that's just a perspective of those listening to non-mainstream music. Yes, some mainstream artistes might be doing really tacky music which is irky. On the other hand, exclusive musical artistes might actually sound like alien language to those who listen to mainstream music.

I can't stress enough the fact that every individual is unique. If you can find a friend who likes the taste of your music, that doesn't mean every other living creature has to like the same. A person who listens to pop might comment on another who listens to goth as scary taste for music. However, we as consumers need to appreciate what's available to us instead of making disses that has no ending.

For myself, my taste in music changes as my age does. At 11, I was a big fan of pop princess Britney Spears. To proof so, I bought all her albums and I have more that 30 posters of her. Like oh my God, look at her now. When I was in my teens, R&B was the thing. I listened to Usher most. Now I listen to almost anything and everything. One day I can be listening to Hot Hot Heat, Omarion next and Lily Allen on another random day. I challenge my ears to listen to different genres. I used to despise rock-metal-hardcore(I can never get it right) acts, coz I judge them from the tempo of their music. But if you look closely to their lyrics, they can hold a lot of meaning to it. One example will be Unholy Confessions by Avenged Sevenfold. And I know, many pop song don't make much sense either like Fergalicious especially.

As such, I feel people who make music part of their life have to be flexible in the way they listen and comment. Listeners should also not be complacent and let others slash uninviting remarks at what you listen. Everyone is judgemental of everything, we can't deny that. But dig in deeper, you'll know better. Like Amy Winehouse; she looks like a wreck with weird tatoos but her voice's just like a classic black singer. Good music should be treated as a privilleage, not something in which is cool. Perhaps if we aren't that lazy afterall, we can seek further to good music instead of accepting those which are already available.

It's much better to listen to all kinds of music instead of just narrowing your mind to one, no? Sure, many mainstream music have cheesy lyrics but they did hit the charts like the ever mega-irritant Umbrella. But if you're likings are towards Bjork, then so be it. We can never blame preferences.

This post drained me. So tell me, what say you?

    A Story To Tell
    Tuesday, September 4 / 16:45
A malay man came in the office earlier to apply for financial assistance. Later in the afternoon, he returned again with 8 birth certs in his hands, "I need to photostat 2 of each." Recognising him, the intern gladly helped. Apparently, the office has a rule whereby charges apply to outsiders who use office's facilities. She politely informed the malay man and he replied, "You can collect it from Mr. Joshua. I'm under financial assistance." She then got a clear understanding from him, all those 8 birth certs belonged to his children.

The intern's colleague came into the picture informing him again that he has to pay for the services. She could see the look on the malay man's face and heard him chanting "Allahuakbar" (God is great) between his lips.

He then passed her a no and asked her to speak to Mr. Joshua. And so Mr. Joshua said, "He has no money with him, just help with to photostat the birth certs." She hung up and let the malay man leave.

Later on, the colleagues approached the intern regarding the matter reminding her that he(ie the malay man) and/or any outside users have to be charged. She explained to them the situation. Till now, she still don't think they should be persistent about it. It's only a mere $1.60. She understands that the office has the interest of other users to take care of, but still. She ponders whether there could be another approach to the situation.

I love you both just the same la, no one's lesser.

    Yours, Mine, Ours. Right.
    Saturday, September 1 / 10:54
Silly people like me turn up for work when it's actually an off day. As such Friday was my self-proclaimed break.

I was slashed with poor service during my visit to a convenience store yesterday. I can't deny I've became more particular with service standards since I'm a CRM student. And no, I'm not a fussy/demanding customer always but I can choose to be one according to circumstances. The issue here is that Singaporeans and queues; they're not conjoined. Firstly, kiasuism has led us in wanting to be first in everything. Secondly, uncivilised mofos cut queues and get their turns first. Finally, sightless service staff follow as well as if they're bulls being pulled by the nose. Some people don't budge, I think they're so used to the attitude. But nah, you won't get that from me.

Intended lunch became unexpected shopping trip instead. Myself and Seri have projects up our sleeves and I have a good feeling about it. It'll be fruitful, looking at the demand now. I'll share the good news if the progress is positive.

    Neighbour love's having my DS now, he wants to have almost everything. But beyond material, I don't think so. On top of that, other issues surfaced too. It's been repetitive, such that I deserved it. Once with the boy I used to love and another with a friend I love. Moving on;

I took advantage of yesterday night when the parents were away. From word games to just enjoying the night breeze Eventhough it's the school hols now, everyone is busy with attachments, FYPs and not forgetting part time work. Night out was fruitfull, and how often can you get that? There were many many pretty Mini Coopers, beautiful machines.

I've stopped my part time work already. And I've typed too much.
